Destination Halifax Announces- 2006 Halifax Ambassador Club Achievement Award Honorees

On Monday, October 30, 2006 at 4:30 pm in the Windows Restaurant at the World Trade and Convention Centre, Destination Halifax announced the 2006 Ambassador Club Achievement Award Honorees. These individuals have been honoured in recognition of their individual and personal effort which resulted in Halifax being chosen as the venue for a meeting, conference or special event in 2006.

Many groups choose to convene here as a direct result of enthusiastic and hard working supporters of the destination. Pride of place is a common thread uniting all the honorees. Dr. Douglas Sinclair of the IWK Health Centre for the International Conference on Emergency Medicine conference.

Joseph Hahn of Saint Mary’s University for the American Astronomical Society conference.

Mike Eddy of Halifax Emergency and Fire for the Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs conference.

Ronald MacDonald for the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry of Canada conference.

David McNamara of InNovacorp for the Canadian Association of Business Incubators conference.

Virginia Lee of Dalhousie University for the Canadian Banner Users conference.
